You’ll almost certainly know the names John Lewis and Waitrose – two of the country’s leading retail businesses (both owned by the John Lewis Partnership). But it’s less likely you know the names of our owners. Because there are thousands of us all over the country. What makes us different is the fact we’re a company co-owned by all of the people who work here. Or as we call ourselves, Partners. Joining us as an Apprentice isn’t simply training for a job – it’s starting your career in a business that you are truly a part of.

You get the very best training and learning, both on the job and in the classroom. At the same time, you get to contribute to something bigger – something that belongs to you and the colleagues around you. We expect you to share in the hard work and commitment of your co-owners. In return, you’ll share in the success of the business, and our profits too. Joining us as an Apprentice isn’t simply training for a job or taking the first step in your career – it’s starting your career in a business that you are truly a part of. It’s about living up to the highest standards – and enjoying what it means to be a Partner.

###Our school leaver opportunities

There’s lots involved in running a successful retail business - something which our Apprentices play an important part in. We have a range of Apprenticeships on offer in key areas to suit a variety of talents and ambitions. There’s even a programme for aspiring Retail Managers or where you can gain a degree qualification. The schemes we have on offer include:

- Level 2 Driving Goods Vehicles: John Lewis Primary Transport (12-18 months)
- Level 2 Retailer: John Lewis (12-18 months)
- Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship in IT / e-Commerce: Waitrose and Partnership Services

- Level 6 IT BSc (Hons) Digital and Technology Solutions Degree: John Lewis (4 years), in
