About Academies Enterprise Trust (AET)
Academies Enterprise Trust (AET) and London Academies Enterprise Trust (LAET) are the largest multi-academy sponsor of schools in England. The Trust operates over 70 schools and has more than 5000 employees. Our aim is to inspire young people to make their best better.
AET is fortunate to have a team of talented, experienced and passionate staff, who work together to drive up standards and achievement within all of Primary, Secondary and Special academies within the group.
AET currently offer apprenticeships for educational support staff in Business and Administration; IT Services (lT Professional); Providing Facilities Services; Facilities Management; Sports Development and Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools.
AET apprenticeships are ‘proper jobs’, not just training courses. When an individual joins a programme they become employees of AET. AET academies are recruiting now for Apprentice IT Customer Service Technicians and for apprentices in a variety of administration roles at Levels 2 and 3. Apprentices work full time, with the exception of Apprentice Teaching Assistants and some part-time Apprentice Administration Assistants who are employed term-time only. AET apprentices earn at least £2.85 per hour for a 36-hour week on a 52-week training contract or at least £100 per week, and benefit from the AET’s health care scheme. Many AET apprentices earn significantly more than this depending on their location, age and job role.
As AET employees, apprentices earn a wage and work alongside experienced staff to gain job-specific skills. Support and study time is provided off-the-job when apprentices receive training to work towards nationally recognised BTEC and NVQ qualifications.
You can apply to the AET whilst you are still in school in Years 11, 12 or 13 with the aim of starting your apprenticeship at the end of your school or college-based education, or if you are already in a job or looking for work.
