Here’s how it works.
Our Business Programme is tailored to give you the training and skills to succeed in your chosen career. We will provide you with a genuine insight into the Business sector and help your professional development by delivering interview coaching, CV workshops, critical thinking, communications, debating and presentation skills which are all delivered by our experienced Careers Development Managers. We also include insight events and Q&A with leading companies, business professionals and LTSB Alumni.
Our programmes in Birmingham include an opportunity to gain an accredited AAT bookkeeping qualification to enhance employment opportunities
Start Date:
7th October 2024
Successful completion of the programme guarantees interviews with approved employers for roles such as:
- Project Management
- Tax
- Audit
- Business Admin/ Support
- Risk & Compliance
- Assistant Accountant
- Finance Assistant
On the apprenticeship you’ll have the opportunity to gain a qualification, learn new skills, earn a competitive salary, and be supported professionally during the first 12 months of your career.
Entry requirements
We are looking for young people aged 18 – 24 who are passionate about building a career in Business. You don’t need previous experience, but you do need to show evidence of a strong desire to kick-start a career in business.
Eligibility criteria:
- 18-24 years old
- Eligible for free school meals and/or require additional support to access careers
- Did not attend a private / fee-paying school
- Ideally you will have 5 GCSEs at Grade 4 and above
- Proven interest in Business

How it works?
LTSB is a social mobility charity dedicated to helping young people into the world of work through our tailored employability programmes.
We provide tailored programmes to prepare you for the world of work and make sure you’re ready to hit the ground running. Once you’ve completed one of our bootcamps which are between 2 and 10 weeks long, we’ll guide you through the interview process and work hard to place you in apprenticeships with employers across the UK. We don’t guarantee a job, but we DO guarantee an interview.
How to apply
1. Follow the link below to complete the application form. Remember, you’re applying to LTSB’s pre-employment programme, not a job.
2. Once you have completed and submitted your application, the LTSB team will check your eligibility, and follow up to invite you to an online Information Session to explain how it all works in more detail.
3. You will then be invited to an in-person Assessment Centre with other young people applying for the programme where you’ll do group tasks and have a 1-2-1 interview.
4. Successful candidates will be offered a place on the programme
