Here’s how it works.
Our Liverpool/Manchester Business Programme is designed to empower young people with the skills and knowledge needed for a successful career in business, with a specific focus on roles within the insurance sector.
We offer genuine insights into the corporate world and support your professional development through interview coaching, CV workshops, critical thinking, communication, debating, and presentation skills, all delivered by our experienced Careers Development Managers.
Throughout the programme, you will have the unique opportunity to engage with leading experts from the insurance industry. These professionals bring a wealth of experience and knowledge, offering invaluable guidance and connections to kickstart a thriving career. Successful completion guarantees interviews with approved, quality employers, opening doors to careers in insurance processing, operations, customer service, risk management, claims, and underwriting.
Start Date:
- 11th November 2024
Successful completion of the programme guarantees interviews with approved employers for apprenticeships and entry level positions in areas such as:
- Compliance and risk
- Insurance sales
- Admin/ Support
- Risk & Compliance
- Insurance underwriting
On the apprenticeship you’ll have the opportunity to gain a qualification, learn new skills, earn a competitive salary, and be supported professionally during the first 12 months of your career.
Entry requirements
We are looking for young people aged 18 – 24 who are passionate about building a career. You don’t need previous experience, but you do need to show evidence of a strong desire to kick-start a career in the insurance sector.
Eligibility criteria:
- 18-24 years old
- Eligible for free school meals and/or require additional support to access careers
- Did not attend a private / fee-paying school
- Ideally you will have 5 GCSEs at Grade 4 and above
- Proven interest in Business

How it works?
LTSB is a social mobility charity dedicated to helping young people into the world of work through our tailored employability programmes.
We provide tailored programmes to prepare you for the world of work and make sure you’re ready to hit the ground running. Once you’ve completed one of our bootcamps which are between 2 and 10 weeks long, we’ll guide you through the interview process and work hard to place you in apprenticeships with employers across the UK. We don’t guarantee a job, but we DO guarantee an interview.
How to apply
- Follow the link below to complete the application form. Remember, you’re applying to LTSB’s pre-employment programme, not a job.
- Once you have completed and submitted your application, the LTSB team will check your eligibility, and follow up to invite you to an online Information Session to explain how it all works in more detail.
- You will then be invited to an in-person Assessment Centre with other young people applying for the programme where you’ll do group tasks and have a 1-2-1 interview.
- Successful candidates will be offered a place on the programme
