Register Your Interest - Data Science Degree Apprenticeship

Life as a Data Scientist is all about creating insights from data, collaboration, and working as a team to create something incredible. As an apprentice at Experian, you’ll work in one of our business areas, gain exposure to our exciting work and help to develop products for the future.

As a Data Scientist Apprentice, you’ll learn how to work with vast amounts of raw data, summarise it, and derive insights that will help shape the future of Experian. You’ll be involved in building machine learning models, using AI to quickly build data pipelines alongside the use of traditional data analysis techniques.

Working with cloud computing services in AWS, and programming languages such as SQL, Python and Scala, you’ll learn about and gain exposure to various aspects of data science. You’ll also quickly become an expert in Data Visualisation using tools like Tableau, Excel, and Powerpoint.

The best part of it all? The support you get from Experian. We’ll help you develop your programming abilities, provide training opportunities and enable you to gain expertise in all aspects of Data Science. You’ll work on real life, exciting projects to gain practical experience and insights into our business.

Alongside your role, you’ll study towards a BSc (Hons) Data Science degree with our partner university through block release. The duration of the course is 4 years and in addition to your salary, you’ll benefit from fully paid tuition fees, as well as our support every step of the way.

The ideal candidate will be:

  • Intellectually Curious: You will love to learn and discover how things “tick”. You will ask questions and not be afraid to challenge the status quo.
  • Driven to deliver: To excel and take pride in your work, contributing ideas and meeting deadlines.
  • Accountable: To safeguard our future, represent our brand and do yourself and Experian proud.

The industry demand and skills gap for Data Scientists is increasing daily, which means it’s the perfect time to launch your career, in one of the fastest growing areas! If you’re inquisitive, enjoy problem solving and can work well in a team, this is a career path you don’t want to miss out on.

If you choose to join us, you’ll receive industry training, wide-reaching career opportunities and a wealth of support through our Early Careers network, buddy, line manager & mentor scheme.

Our Apprentice roles are permanent opportunities, and you’ll also take part in our 2 year structured Early Careers Development Programme when you join us which is packed with workshops, short-courses & online material designed to help kick-start your career.

Our concept is simple. We believe in expanding horizons – it’s what makes Experian a global leader and a Top UK Tech Employer.
