Our brand new Assembly Facility at the Rail Village in Goole represents Siemens Mobility's commitment to invest in the East Riding of Yorkshire. You’ll be part of a large team of electrical and mechanical technicians carrying out the final manufacturing stages on a variety of train and metro systems, the first being the replacement for the London Underground Piccadilly line. You will ensure that safety is a priority as you assemble our state-of-the-art zero emission trains in our purpose-built facility.

Programme Structure

Whilst on the Apprenticeship, you will be following an apprenticeship standard ST0432 Engineering Fitter.

The programme structure will be Day Release (in person). Whilst working towards a formal qualification, you will also work as part of a team on real-life projects within the workplace.

What You'll Be Doing

• Work in a safe and effective manner to help build an amazing working environment
• Become a Rolling Stock Manufacturing expert within our state-of-the-art Assembly Facility, utilising the latest techniques and tools
• Build the next generation of zero emission Metro and Commuter Rail trains in the heart of the East Riding of Yorkshire
• Take advantage of the opportunities available within a global company with over 300,000 employees

Essential Skills and Attributes

• Achieved or on track to achieve at least 5 GCSE's grade 4 or above, including Science and English language
• Achieved or on track to achieve GCSE Maths at grade 5 or above
• Logical thinking, willing to self-learn and research, and take a creative approach to problem solving
• Ability to work independently, safely and responsibly; take ownership of challenges and ideas, and looking to develop your ability to drive and lead change
• Enjoy collaborating with others to find innovative solutions
