About the Role

At our new Siemens Mobility Components facility in Goole, this role would be part of the team responsible for overhauling, root cause analysis & repair of a range of different components such as gearboxes, motors, fans, and HVAC systems, all of which are used and supplied back into the Rail industry.

Our components facility is a part of the new Siemens Mobility rail village and is an ever-growing part of the business where we strive to take on new projects expanding our team and our knowledge to be able to deliver a more innovative service to our customers.

Programme Structure

• Follow apprenticeship standard ST0432 Engineering Fitter
• Day release (in person)
• Work on real life projects within the workplace while working towards a formal qualification

As an Apprentice Electrical Fitter, you would ensure products and solutions are assembled efficiently, safely, at the right cost and to the right level of quality in order to meet customer order requirements & industry standards alike.

Essential Skills and Attributes

• Achieved or on track to achieve at least 5 GCSE's grade 4 or above including Science and English language
• Achieved or on track to achieve GCSE Maths at grade 5 or above
• Logical thinking, willing to self-learn and research, and take a creative approach to problem solving
• Ability to work independently, safely and responsibly; take ownership of challenges and ideas and are looking to develop your ability to drive and lead change
• Enjoy collaborating with others to find innovative solutions
