Programme Structure

• Whilst on the Apprenticeship, you will follow an apprenticeship standard: ST0318 Rail Engineering Technician, Traction and Rolling Stock Pathway.
• Day release at college.
• Whilst working towards a formal qualification, you will also work as part of a team on real-life projects within the workplace.

Define the Future of Transportation

• Embark on your journey with us whilst taking part in our fantastic apprentice development programme.
• A personalised training plan will be created to help you develop the specific skills needed for your role.
• By the end of your programme, you’ll have the best knowledge and hands-on experience to kickstart your professional career at Siemens Mobility.
• Application and mobile platform development.
• Mechanical and electrical fault finding enabling trains to enter passenger service within tight deadlines.
• Develop and provide sustainable rolling stock solutions in all areas of rail transportation.

Essential Skills and Attributes

We are seeking innovative and inquisitive candidates that demonstrate the following:

• At least 5 GCSEs grade 4 or above, including Maths and English Language.
• It is preferred that you do not have a Level 2 PEO (Performing Engineering Operations).
• Logical thinking, willingness to self-learn and research, and a creative approach to problem-solving.
• Ability to work independently, safely, and responsibly.
• Ownership of challenges and ideas with a desire to drive and lead change.
• Enjoy collaborating with others to find innovative solutions.

Qualifications You Must Not Have

• Level 3 Engineering Diploma (BTEC).
• Level 3 AME (Advanced Manufacturing Engineering).
