Our Business

Our client base includes more than three-quarters of the world's leading insurers across both life and property/casualty insurance.

Qualifications

The Employee Experience is the sum of every single moment that matters between employees and their employer.

Consider the world we live in today and some of the events that have shaped the past 10 years of your life. How do your family or friends talk about changes in their personal or working lives over that period?

In the UK, we have seen substantial change to things like:

  • how, when and where it is possible to work effectively – through AI and remote working.
  • the impacts to home finances caused by the cost of living crisis.
  • how we understand our own and others’ wellbeing.
  • the demand for new skills as work changes.
  • positive strides forward on diversity equity and inclusion.

Think about thousands of people working at a company experiencing changes related to those challenges – all in different ways, which impact how focused, engaged and productive they are at work. It is in organisation’s interest to ensure they respond to all of those ‘moments that matter’.

Within WTW’s Employee Experience Business, we help our clients to respond to every one of those moments. One day, we might be helping people to understand the support available to them to resolve an important health issue…another, encouraging a young person to save early for retirement and prevent them living in poverty in old age…and another, demonstrating to diverse underrepresented groups in the workplace that they belong in a company and can thrive in their career there.

As an Employee Experience Apprentice, you will work as part of a team on a wide variety of complex projects, serving as a key resource for the leading consultant on each of your engagements. You will be encouraged to develop an understanding of our client solutions as possible by supporting across multiple, complex projects.

You will have immediate exposure to real client assignments, which will draw on your imagination and creativity as well as your ability to analyse data, draw conclusions and present results. These experiences will help build your technical knowledge and overall industry experience while you benefit from more structured formal training.

As you grow and gain more expertise, you will gradually begin to take responsibility for deliverables as you work alongside some of the industry’s top consultants on cross-industry client projects including many household names.

Typical work for an apprentice within this team might include:

  • Helping our clients communicate their rewards package to their employees through engagement campaigns, including writing the content, developing ideas for the brand, and proofreading the final text.
  • Developing pension communication materials which encourage people to save for a fulfilling retirement – and create awareness around a complicated topic.
  • Work with consultants to plan key change management activities and milestones for major projects, including organisational restructuring and HR transformation.
  • Work with consultants to prepare organisations for more transparency on pay.
  • Support clients with employee experience and workplace wellbeing projects, including both financial, mental, and physical wellbeing.

The apprenticeship will be guided by our government training provider and be due for completion within 20-24 months. You will be fully supported throughout your apprenticeship programme by WTW colleagues including an apprentice buddy.
