Apprenticeship Programme - Edinburgh
BlackRock’s Apprenticeship Programme is an 18-month training contract which provides the opportunity for recent school leavers to earn as they learn. Starting in September 2025, you will be fully immersed in our business, working alongside experts in the industry and receiving on-the-job training and professional development. You will study towards an industry-recognised qualification and receive ongoing support from your manager, buddy and coach.
On successful completion of the programme, apprentices will have the opportunity to receive an offer to join BlackRock as a full-time employee.
What roles are available?
We encourage you to keep an open mind about where you begin your career and you’ll be able to apply to up to two teams. Opportunities in our Edinburgh office are available in the below teams:
- Client Experience
- Data Operations
- Investment Operations
On successful completion of the apprenticeship, you will be awarded SCQF Level 6 Providing Financial Services.

Education
Applications are encouraged from school leavers of all academic backgrounds.
- Edinburgh: Candidates will need a pass in National 5 (or equivalent) in English Language and Maths, and have completed three Highers (or equivalent) by September 2025
To be eligible, you must not have previously completed an Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in any subject.
