Apply now for the position of IT Support Apprentice Level 3 Technician Apprenticeship this is 13 months of Practical training plus 3 months of end point assessment and you will have the opportunity to gain valuable experience in one of the world's leading healthcare companies. Our Magnet Technology factory in Eynsham, Oxford, is at the forefront of manufacturing high-tech medical imaging equipment used by healthcare professionals worldwide.
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our IT team as an IT Support Apprentice. This role is perfect for someone passionate about technology, eager to learn, and ready to start their career in IT. You will gain valuable on-the-job experience while working towards a nationally recognized qualification in IT support.
Your role as an IT Apprentice Technician:
- You will split your time between four days’ work-based training and one day release to college
- You will provide first-line technical support to staff, assisting with hardware, software, and network-related issues
- You will help set up and configure desktops, laptops, printers, and other devices
- You will learn to troubleshoot and resolve basic IT problems, escalating complex issues to senior team members
- You will assist with installing, updating, and maintaining IT systems and applications
- You will maintain accurate records of IT support requests and solutions in the ticketing system
- You will support team projects, such as hardware rollouts and system upgrades
- You will also need to snsure IT security and compliance policies are followed
About you:
- You should have a genuine interest in technology and problem-solving
- You will need a basic understanding of computer systems, hardware, and software
- You will need strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach
- You be expected to be able work both independently and as part of a team
- You will need a proactive attitude and willingness to learn new skills
- You will also need GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English, grade C/4 or above
You must also have eligibility to work in the UK for the duration of the four year Apprenticeship and meet the Department for Education and Skills funding rules, including residency criteria.
