About the Apprenticeship

As an apprentice, you will study with a training provider, such as a university, and combine this experience with real responsibilities in the workplace. Your study pattern could be day or block release, or via distance learning, depending on the course that you enrol on. A dedicated mentor will guide you through your personal and professional development. Level 6 Degree Apprenticeships have a typical duration of 3– 6 years, during which you will attain both a professional and academic qualification to further your career
Typically, a Day Release study pattern will be offered through Bolton University for a duration of 6 years.
Your Role in Whitehaven
- Work on Nuclear industry projects and diverse engineering challenges across the North.
- Collaborate with engineers on tasks, investigations, and project work.
- Attend regular Early Careers Cohort and mentor meetings to build experience.
What You Need
✔ A-Level Grades: B or above in Maths, Physics, Chemistry (preferred), or other related subjects.
✔ Location: Must live within travelling distance of Whitehaven.
✔ Bonus: An interest in outdoor activities and exploring the Lake District.
