Overview:
We are looking an IT Helpdesk Support Apprentice to provide a high level of support for the systems within the Group, communicating with colleagues on all levels.
Duties will include:
- Providing 1st level support for all VGroup Business Systems, these include in house applications and off the shelf applications used by VGroup.
- Provide telephone and remote support to Global offices and vessels ,maintaining a professional manner when dealing with users and peers.
- Attending Vessels and offices to provide IT support.
- Working with the Service Desk system to update users during the lifecycle of the request and resolve or escalate as required.
- Supporting all aspects of hardware used within the Group.
- Enforcing the IT security policy and procedures.
- Active Directory / User Administration.
Desirable skills:
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with all levels of colleagues in person and on the phone.
- Good communication skills are essential.
- Must be able to communicate in English, both orally and via email/teams.
- Knowledge of Desktops and laptops and, if any, server exposure
- Knowledge Windows 10 Operating system or any server Operating systems
- Knowledge Microsoft 365 applications
Salary: £17,500 per annum.
Working week: Monday - Friday, 9am - 5:30pm
