ICT Technician Apprenticeship - European Electronique

This is an exciting opportunity for a person wishing to work towards being a qualified ICT Technician, on a site with a state-of-the-art ICT infrastructure. The job will be to learn to provide 1st Line hardware and software support, call logging services, asset management, general ICT administrative(under supervision) and other ICT services.

Key Duties:

• To monitor/manage call queues to ensure that support calls are being escalated and resolved within agreed SLA’s
• To action any asset change in compliance with the Change Control Procedure
• To complete additional adhoc project work, as required
• To assist the Network Manager by carrying out reasonable requests for additional duties as and when required
• To keep the working area clean & tidy at all times
• To attend and complete education courses and exams that are part of the Apprenticeship Programme
• To ensure compliance at all times to all Health & Safety and ISO policies and procedures

Training will be remote, one day per week. Remote training can be undertaken at home or within the location of work - to be discussed at interview and on placement.

Your role will require you to have an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, including Children Barred List, to be undertaken on an annual basis.

The role will require general lifting of IT products and assisting with the positioning of these products around many buildings and will require physical fitness.

Entry Requirements:

• 3 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades 4+ (A-C) in any subject
• GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3+ (D or above)
• Prospective apprentices must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship is in a similar subject

You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme.

If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.  

Additional Information:

• Annual salary - £15,000 a year
• Working week - Start Time: 8am/8:30am, Finish Time: 4.30pm/5pm Lunch break length: 1 hour, Total hours per week: 37.5
• Expected duration - 18 months

Future Prospects:

• You can progress into: Cyber Security, Network Engineering or System Engineering
• Initial focus will be on you achieving your apprenticeship and becoming an ICT Technician
