We’re working with NatWest to deliver a 12-day bootcamp targeting young people from underrepresented backgrounds to give them the best chance of securing an apprenticeship role with NatWest. Successfully completing the bootcamp guarantees an interview with NatWest.

What will you be doing as an apprentice?

Perfect for someone with a strong interest in maths, coding, and problem-solving, this role will develop your technical knowledge.

On the Data Scientist degree apprenticeship, you’ll:

• Extract insights from complex data to support decision-making.
• Build and test machine learning models and tools.
• Collaborate with teams to develop data-driven strategies.
• Communicate data stories to key stakeholders.
• Support the development of automated analytics pipelines.

Who can apply?

We’re looking for young people aged 16–24 who are driven to build a quality career. No prior experience is needed, just a passion for learning and making an impact.

To be eligible, you must:

• Have attended a non-fee-paying school
• Have received free school meals and/or required additional support to access career opportunities
• Have 5 GCSEs (Grade 9-4 / A*-C) including English & Maths
• Have an A-Level (or equivalent) in a STEM or related field
• Have a minimum of 96 UCAS points

How it works?

LTSB is a social mobility charity dedicated to helping young people into the world of work through our tailored employability programmes.

We provide tailored programmes to prepare you for the world of work and make sure you’re ready to hit the ground running. Once you’ve completed one of our bootcamps which are between 2 and 10 weeks long, we’ll guide you through the interview process and work hard to place you in apprenticeships with employers across the UK. We don’t guarantee a job, but we DO guarantee an interview.

How to apply

2. Once you have completed and submitted your application, the LTSB team will check your eligibility, and follow up to invite you to an online Information Session to explain how it all works in more detail.

3. You will then be invited to an in-person Assessment Centre with other young people applying for the programme where you’ll do group tasks and have a 1-2-1 interview.
